- Current activity in Art and Wellbeing: PLAYFULNESS in adult life!
That is the important connection. And that is, to me, the role of Art amidst adversity. To bring possibilities for transformation. In our relationship with life and its challenges. That is what Art brings us: the opportunity to envision, create, formulate, breathe, look from different angles and dare create solutions for the benefit of mankind.
In the case of the clown doctor, the Hippocratic Oath refers to healing as a form of Art: “But I will keep pure and holy both my life and my art.” This is the role of Art, to allow and inspire us to envision possibilities where they seem not to exist, thus giving us hope and strength.
I have been also practicing singing, movement, stretches, really treating my body as my instrument of work.
I have been researching and teaching about the importance of playfulness in adult life. It is one of the best antidotes for this moment; I am also taking care of my garden! Amazing experience!
